A WhatsApp Nightmare
For the past 5 months, my mom's salgados (savory snacks) business was growing, but her ordering process was entirely broken. Customers would place orders through WhatsApp, sending fragmented, confusing messages.
My mom was losing precious hours of her day just scrolling through chat histories, trying to decipher what people actually wanted, their addresses, and how they wanted to pay.
On the flip side, customers didn't have a visual menu. They had to ask what was available, which created friction and killed conversions. We needed a system that allowed her to focus on cooking, not on being a full-time chat interpreter.

A Mobile-First Digital Menu
I built a custom web application that acts as a digital storefront and an automated order structurer.
Customers can now browse a beautiful, visual menu, add items to their cart, and review their full order (including delivery fees and PIX payment info). Once they hit "Send," the app generates a perfectly organized, standardized receipt and sends it directly to my mom's WhatsApp. Zero confusion, zero time wasted.

Design meets AI
I didn't want to start from scratch. I already had a solid design system like typography, color palettes, and background patterns, that I had created for her social media advertising. My goal was to transpose that exact vibe into a functional app.
Here is how I brought it to life:
The Brains (Gemini): I used Gemini as my strategic technical partner. I fed it my design constraints and business logic to craft highly surgical, specific prompts.
The Build (Lovable AI): I took those prompts and used Lovable to generate the React frontend. It allowed me to iterate quickly and build a production-ready interface without getting bogged down in boilerplate code.
The Backend (Firebase): I integrated Firebase to make the app fully dynamic. I set up a real-time Firestore database for the menu and implemented an Auth Guard (secure login) so my mom has a private Admin Dashboard to easily add, edit, or remove products and images.

The Impact
The app completely changed my mom's daily routine. She no longer wastes time decoding messages; she just receives a clean, actionable ticket on WhatsApp.
Customers love the professional experience, and the brand looks more cohesive than ever. It was the perfect blend of UX design, AI collaboration with Lovable, and real-world problem-solving.
